Alan Neigher, Esq. has been a principal in the Westport firm of Byelas & Neigher since 1980. A graduate of Colby College and Boston College Law School, he specializes in media, entertainment, first amendment and trade regulation law. He has an AV (highest) Martindale-Hubbell rating, and is listed in the Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers, as well as The Best Lawyers in America and the 2007 edition of Connecticut Super Lawyers.
Attorney Neigher has been involved in numerous trade regulation and antitrust cases, including litigation involving the petroleum, automotive accessory and health care industries. His 1978 article, On The Unfair Trade Practices Act, 4 CLT No. 30 (July 24, 1978) was the first published article on “CUTPA”. He has served as a Special Master for the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut.
